Our Classes

Phoenix stage school classes

Dance, Dance, Dance

Our Dance Fusion class offers students a well-rounded dance experience, exploring a variety of styles throughout the year including Hip Hop, Jazz, and Lyrical. Each session begins with a structured warm-up to safely prepare the body for movement, helping dancers build strength, coordination, and confidence in a supportive environment.

Students develop flexibility through guided stretching and improve technique with across-the-floor exercises that enhance balance, control, and performance quality. Learning multiple styles encourages versatility, creativity, and self-expression, while keeping classes fun, engaging, and motivating.

Throughout the year, dancers learn exciting, age-appropriate routines and have the opportunity to showcase their progress on stage in our spectacular annual variety show, celebrating their hard work, growth, and love of performance.

Musical Theatre

Musical Theatre is a vibrant performance art that combines singing, acting, dance, and spoken dialogue to bring stories to life on stage. In our MT classes, students enjoy dedicated training in all three disciplines — dance, drama, and singing — taught by specialist teachers within an immersive 90-minute or two-hour session.

Each year, we stage a fully produced musical, giving students the incredible experience of rehearsing and performing a licensed Broadway-style show for family and friends. Past productions include Shake Ripple & Roll, Seussical, Elf, High School Musical, We Will Rock You, and Matilda.

These high-energy productions are unforgettable for both performers and audiences, and from show to show we see our students’ confidence soar, skills flourish, and lasting friendships form both on and off the stage.

Jazz & Ballet Technique

Our Technique class focuses on developing correct alignment, placement, and core fundamentals to build a strong technical foundation for every dancer. Students work on ballet and jazz positions, flexibility, turns, jumps, and floor work, refining their skills with precision and control.

From September to December, students follow a structured syllabus designed by Claire Gaughran, finishing the term with a class assessment that encourages consistent practice, builds strength, and supports safe training. From January to June, dancers apply their skills while learning exciting and challenging choreography for our end-of-year show, giving them the chance to showcase their progress, confidence, and performance ability on stage.
